A wife, mom of five, and friend to many; Alison Acton begins an adventure of answering her restless soul’s call to write songs. Alison has always been a singer. In fact, her biggest hindrance has been to nail down “what type” of singer she is. Found singing in choirs, a worship band and in her home with her guitar, her experiences in music definitely cross many borders of “type”. Shadows, clouds, mothers, daughters, fathers and strangers have always teased Alison with their secret stories waiting to be told. The songs on Alison’s upcoming album this spring are songs about people’s lives. Real people with real stories and real memories. Some songs speak of adversity and the beauty that comes from experiencing life. Some songs tell of a time to be treasured up and held close for always. This mom’s joy in life is to listen and relate to others. Her hope is to tell the stories of life through song and encourage people through their walks of life.
