Calistro Vasquez, Jr. (Junior) hails from the musical community of Lubbock, Texas, 1 of 11 children born to Calistro and Josefina Vasquez on November 30th 1956.
Junior picked up his first guitar when he was 10 years old, had his first band “The Young Rebels” when he was 11.
Playing music has been his passion ever since.
During his early years he was influenced by the music of The Beatles, The Monkees, The Eagles, America, Crosby Stills Nash and Young, Jim Croce, Dan Fogelberg , Batdorf and Rodney and James Taylor.
